
The London & North Eastern Railway’s 1939 book describing the facilities at the Port of Hull, one of the major East Coast ports and one of several that the Railway owned. The various main line railways produced superb and detailed guides to docks and ports – and one suspects that they were very useful to the German military that year when it came to planning enemy action against these vital facilities.
