A typical scene at the "Patio", a cowgirl hanging a necktie, freshly snipped from an unsuspecting customer, to the rafters. The ceiling of the restaurant proudly sports the neckties of many of the nation’s top celebrities, including movie and television stars, politicians, sportsmen and others

Mailed from Roswell, New Mexico to J.B. Marsh of Hattiesburg, Mississippi on June 21, 1967:

Dearest Johnnie,
Well we visit the painted desert and forest. It was a beautiful drive thru N.M. to Roswell.
Sure be glad when we get home so we can taste fresh vegetables. Haven’t had nothing that greens. We planned to Carlsbad Caverns tomorrow.
Love G
