When dining out in Arizona’s most western restaurant, if you wear a tie BEWARE! The policy is no ties allowed. Those who wear one get it clipped off by a cowgirl. Your tie permanently becomes the Patio’s property along with thousands of others hanging from the rafters.
Mailed from Phoenix, Arizona to J.B. Marsh of Hattiesburg, Mississippi on June 12, 1967:
Dear Johnnie,
Wished you were here this PM. Sat. June 10th, Harry & Margie took us out to steak dinner. We watched the cowboys cook them. They were delicious with salad, red bans & coffee.
We watch a cowgirl cut a mans tie off., They played western tunes. I enjoyed it.
Love Gladys
