In recent years, scholars and activists in Canada have been drawing more attention to the country’s often-unacknowledged history of slavery. The Montreal Gazette recently interviewed historian Dorothy Williams and rapper/educator Aly “Webster” Ndiaye about the history of slavery in Quebec.
