A small sketch map of Nottingham’s municipal transport system as seen ina small guidebook "By ‘bus in Nottingham". I’ve dated this to c1936 as there’s no mention in the text or on the map to tramways but several photos in the guide still have trams in view. The trams finished in 1936 so the guide must be just post-1936. Despite all the many changes in the structure of the UK’s public transport system Nottingham still has an effectively municipally owned bus network – and now of course is a tram operator again with the new generation of LRT in the city. All we need now are trolleybuses back!
