We selected this trade card from the 1880s to convey our Season’s Greetings. The card was distributed by the celebrated Toronto firm of Heintzman & Co., piano makers, established in Toronto in 1866. Trade cards, related to the visiting cards popular in the 17th to the 19th centuries, often featured attractive images on one side and location information on the other. They evolved into the smaller business card we use today.
