This silver-gelatin print shows some of the 6,000 young men who left Toronto’s Union Station in 1923, headed for the Prairies to help out with the harvest for a daily wage. The station in the picture is the predecessor of the modern-day Union Station , however, which stood (1873-1927) just west of the current one, where the SkyWalk is today.
