Contains a brilliant display of polished petrified wood and dioramas showing what the area probably looked like when the trees of the forest were living. The museum is operated by the National Park Service, United States Department of the Interior.

Mailed from Barstow, California to Miss. P. Bereza of Wausaukee, Wisconsin on September 12, 1956:

Dear Pat,
We stoped at a few trading posts on the wayan got a few things. Where is Jim. Well guess we have to go.
