What a cracking cover – towering over the Tees is the magnificnet Transporter Bridge (still in service today) and on the river one of the Tees Towing Company Ltd’s tugs, the Dundas Cross. Official guides are usually a bit bland, cover wise, what with the borough coat of arms but Middlesbrough went to town with this. The splendid artwork of this industrial and maritime scene is by John G Stewart.
