From the rather fine 1966 book produced by Daimler to commemorate their 70 years of production. Here in the company’s home city, Coventry, one of the many Daimlers unsurprisingly operated by the municipal operator Coventry Corporation Transport and in their attractive livery. The 15 is loading in the midst of the post-war reconstruction and shows the style of architecture prevalent at the time. This is Broadgate, with the famous city department store of Owen Owen is there as is the Hotel Leofric with some marvellous lettering and graphics!
