The Space Shuttle Columbia passes into a brilliant sunrise scene during the STS-9\Spacelab 1 mission. The photograph was taken with a 35mm camera aimed through Columbia’s aft flight deck windows. Part of the science module, which hosted more than a week’s scientific experimentation, is silhouetted against the scene.
