A small card of linen thread that may have been issued for militay use, when soldiers and sailors had to repair their kit. It shows the Royal Standard of Scotland and the Union Flag. Wiiliam & James Knox have a long pedigree, founded in 1778, and are still in business although the spinning side of the business has been sold on.
