The wonderfully titled ‘Yorkshire Woollen District Transport Co Ltd" was unsurprisingly based in the centre of the world famous Yorkshire woollen industry in Dewsbury. I always heard it referred to as "The ‘Tracckie" – oddly in the employment of Eastern Scottish in Edinburgh as some close social linsk prevailed between the two companies, probably due to some form of joint coach service operations. This little publicity booklet details the many hald-day, day excursion trips provided throughout the Yorkshire and North of Engalnd for local inhabitants to have a grand day out.
