I have no doubt that the civic leaders of the Black Country town (now city) of Wolverhampton thought that using a new fangled aerial photograph of the town centre was very clever in 1932. And there’s no denying that the image, from a historical perspective, is fascinating. The area shown centre would in time be intended as the new civic heart of the town. However one does have to say that in sepia, froma design point of view, its a bit flat even if the focal point of the roads to lead to the word Wolverhampton!
