The Elm Works is a manufacturer of gas and early electric street lighting that is little known – this c1933 advert (2 pages) shows them based in Summerstown, Wimbledon and making a small range of traditional gas lamps as well some basic electric lanterns. Seen here is the locally named ‘Earlsfield’ that one suspects was used in south west London, where Elm were based.
